Black Series Premium Electronic Roleplay Helmets

“Featuring highly detailed deco, series-inspired design, and adjustable fit, these full-scale Black Series helmets are an iconic addition to any Star Wars fan’s collection.”

From the inception of the Black Series Roleplay line in 2015, I executed the paint application of nearly every Star Wars Roleplay helmet for development. I ensured all colors, weathering, chipping and battle damage could be accurately reproduced in production.

The hand-painted prototypes were approved by Lucasfilm, shared with manufacturing partners to guide development, and photographed to support e-comm assets, as seen in the Boba Fett, Luke Skywalker and Clone Captain Rex helmet images.

Boba Fett Roleplay Helmet

The design team visited the Lucasfilm archives where they had access to the original Boba Fett helmet prop worn in Empire Strikes Back. Exact pantone colors were matched from the prop, which I then applied to our development prototype. We ensured precise sculpt details, color, battle damage, chipping and weathering to achieve the most screen-accurate Boba Fett helmet to date.

Luke Skywalker Roleplay Helmet

The Luke Skywalker helmet required careful application of numerous Rebel logos and decals for the development prototype. Once in place, I applied a dark weathering wash to replicate battle wear. Adding dirt and grime to a pristine white helmet can be daunting, but the final result gave it a realism that made it feel like a helmet Luke truly wore.
